Protect your S.T.O.R.I.

I was working on this short film as many new developments have advanced in the Generative AI Space.

I updated it, so this entire short is now created with @Pika_Labs 2.1 and Midjourney.

This film is named after my son, Stori, and it stands for “Synthetic Transplanetary Observer for Research and Intelligence.”

Storyline: An advanced android, programmed to document life’s last moments on doomed worlds, travels from planet to planet just before cosmic cataclysms strike, gathering the final data of civilizations on the brink of extinction.

Put together in a few weeks, this is my senior thesis film "Smoking Warrior." The concept was initially conceived as a more plot heavy, Adult Swim/MTV type of short film, but the AI methodology I was experimenting with failed incredibly late in the game, and I had to pivot hard and fast.

The film is comprised of AI animation (Stable Diffusion 1.5, ComfyUI, AnimateDiff) on the main trio of characters, and Blender for the Dragon and Environments, then After Effects to bring it all together.

The result is rushed and rough. But it does prove to me that this process is possible. All of the characters were filmed in costume on a green screen and then converted into animation using an Ink portrait LORA. Having taken a break for a few months, I'm now working back into my AI research and experimentation. My goal is to return to my original idea and aesthetic and create a pipeline that will allow me to produce an animated pilot.

This is "The Rancher"

One of my favorite things about these Generative AI tools is how I can visually and creatively share my thoughts with the world. This is a game changer for artists and filmmakers with a notebook full of ideas.

I had a dream the other night about being on a ranch in the middle of nowhere and discovering a female alien that crash-landed on my farm. I opted to help, but whether they were friends or foes was unclear.

With all the new shiny AI Image Gens out there, Midjourney is still my go-to for super details and particular images.

Shout out to @nickfloats
for highlighting the new MJ editor function. It is game-changing. From scaling an image to inpainting or changing the aspect ratio, it acts as a full editing suite right in Midjourney.

@Runwayml Gen3 Turbo came through as I could filter through dozens of generations at lightning speed.

This was a #Gucci Spec AI commercial Idea where machines and models coalesce in fashion.
