Keep in mind that the tool currently supports videos up to 10 seconds in length, so if you're working with something longer, you'll need to trim it down before uploading.

Step 2: Uploading and Setting Prompts
Next, it's time to upload your video! Choose the clip you want to work with. Once uploaded, you’ll have the option to select from several default prompts. For example, if you want a more animated look, you could go with “3D Cartoon”, or if you’re aiming for something more intense and cinematic, try the “Dramatic” prompt.

You can also modify these prompts to better match your vision. The beauty of this tool is that you can adjust prompts to fit any scene or theme you’re working with, whether it's action, romance, or even sci-fi. Once you’ve made your selections, click “Generate”, and the AI will get to work!

This is the part where patience is key. Due to high demand, the video generation process can take up to 10 minutes. But don’t worry—the results are well worth the wait! After the processing is done, you’ll see your video transformed with a brand-new style, maintaining the flow of the original while giving it a creative twist.

Remaking a Movie Trailer (Gladiator Example)
For this tutorial, I'm using the Gladiator movie trailer as an example. Since Runway only allows 10-second clips, I used CapCut to split the trailer into smaller segments. After uploading a portion of the trailer, I applied a cinematic style prompt to give it that epic, dramatic feel.

After another round of processing, it’s time for the big reveal! And let me tell you—the results are stunning. The AI has managed to capture the grandeur and intensity of the original Gladiator trailer, while giving it a fresh new cinematic style. It's almost like stepping into a parallel universe where the movie was remade with a different artistic lens!

Watch “Father Time,” My First Sora Short Film.

Yesterday, I finally had the chance to dive into Sora, and within 24 hours, I created “Father Time”, using 100% text-to-video. While I wasn’t part of the early @OpenAI Sora Alpha program, this was my opportunity to experiment with this groundbreaking tool—and here are my first impressions.

Sora shines when you bring a clear narrative vision and carefully crafted, descriptive prompts. It’s a reminder that even the most advanced tools are only as powerful as the story you have to tell. I chose text-to-video for its unparalleled fidelity—some of the best I’ve seen—and leaned heavily on Sora’s storyboard feature and remix function, which were game-changers in achieving cohesion and depth. When I tried image to video, some generations completely changed the visual, which drove me to focus more on the storyboard feature.

“Father Time” is a poetic companion piece to one of my most acclaimed AI films, “Borrowing Time.” It’s a story I’ve been tinkering with all year, chronicling a young man’s journey through time as he connects with his past relatives, reliving the joys and sorrows of life’s defining moments.

As a filmmaker and artist, I always aim to use the best tools available to bring my stories to life. But let me be clear: tools are just that—tools. They’re instruments that amplify the core of what matters most: human creativity, artistry, and storytelling.

Okay I tried to take this to the next level and see how a one man crew could mix in the use of an AI style transfer tool such as LensGo AI
with a quick iPhone green screen shoot using my computer monitor as a backdrop and slight VFX added in post. Here is the result.
