Two new image models. One very curious robot.

GPT Image 2.5 Flare and Sunburst are joining AI Animation, bringing fresh options to the image generator, ANI chat and automated storyboard workflows.

Flare is built for fast, high-quality image generation. Think character ideas, visual experiments and that “just one more version” moment before you settle on a shot.

Sunburst puts the emphasis on editing precision. Reach for it when you have a clear visual direction and want to refine an existing image with carefully described changes.

Both can create from a prompt or work with reference images, with Low, Medium and High quality options. Flare will also be the starting choice for new ANI projects and new Frames sessions.

Flare's take on the moment. Both examples were generated at Medium quality, at 2048 × 1152, using a reference image.

There’s good news for experimenting, too: Medium and High generations are priced lower than GPT Image 2 at matching settings. Flare and Sunburst share the same credit pricing; check the displayed estimate before generating.

Our first test subject seems suitably intrigued. We hope you will be, too.
